Resolve Excel 2010 attachments not opening

Microsoft Excel 2010 is the current version of MS Office. It has been introduced with lots of new features and interactive user friendly interface. It is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP. If you are using Excel 2007 then you can upgrade to 2010. But some of the users have experienced problem in opening Excel documents. If you receive excel file as attachment with your mail in Outlook then it cannot open excel attachments. On the contrary, you receive error message “The file is corrupt and cannot be opened”.

Excel attachments won't open in outlook 2010 because you cannot open excel attachments when you double click on the attachment. When you attempt to open by double-click on excel attachments, Excel 2010 starts but appears to stop responding without opening the workbook. If you minimize Excel, you may receive “The system cannot find the file specified.” error message. Hence it is suggested to save the attachment first on your hard drive then try to access from the disk. But when you save it and try to open the file by double-click then you come across with another error message like as follows:

“Cannot find the file 'filepath\nameoffile' (or one of its component(s)). Make sure the path and file name are correct and that all required libraries are available.”
OR
“The file is corrupt and cannot be opened”
